Issues...
Hey guys… I could really use some prayer right now. There’s a lot going on at church and I have a huge testimony-message-type-thing to present halfway through July, and right now I have no motivation or desire to do it. I can’t even write a simple testimony for this week’s passage, because I don’t feel inspired at all. Today, I spent a good three hours staring at a...

Frog in the Well
Tonight, our pastor Dr. Paul did his review from his trip to Korea/China and the presentation he gave and things that he learned while there. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t always pay attention 100%, but he used an analogy that stuck with me tonight (maybe because I like frogs).
He spoke about a frog in a well who heard about the ocean. The frog couldn’t imagine that...

Abortions in Korea →
Children are close to my heart, so abortion is an issue I feel very strongly about. This just breaks my heart. :(
jyu27:
Number of illegal abortions in Korea exceeds 1.5 million a year or roughly 4,000 babies aborted per day.
3 Babies are aborted every minute in Korea. 43.7% of pregnancies end up with abortion.
1.5 million babies, 1.5 million teenagers, or 1.5 million adults. God sees them...

And Now, For Something Different (or, Why I Write...
ntebook:
I don’t know that one particular incident ever influenced me; it was more of an environment that molded me as much as I affected it. Both of my parents encouraged reading, and I spent a lot of my childhood doing that. I don’t know how many home movies there are of all of us playing, and there’s me in the background, curled up on the couch reading a book. As a kid, I read everything—...

whoo whoo! *train whistle*
Guess all I needed was some accountability (here’s looking at you, KaliArren) and a good kick in the pants. I’m writing up a storm, at least comparatively (after all, anything is better than zero). It’s nice to have someone pushing me to do it, and a reason (even if it’s no more reason than avoiding the guilt of skipping a day). Hoorah for the buddy system, I guess!
Wow, I...

Game of Thrones (review)
So this was actually really good… but only if you’re into drama. I think that’s what makes it relatable: even though it’s set in a fantasy setting, the story is driven by the characters and their conflicts, and Martin does not rely so much on the setting to move the plot (which is often the mistake of many fantasy authors). It was easy to get into his world and become...

Hmmm...
I really want to start writing again. It’s been a while since I wrote for fun; or even for a real purpose. I used to write all the time; my mind was overflowing with ideas and I was inspired to do so much. I had a song notebook, and I wrote poems and stories and jotted down ideas for massive projects… I’ve lost that drive in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I guess.

Vacation!
Leaving for Kennesaw tomorrow to visit my grandparents. I’m excited to see Georgia again; I miss the South every now and then. Also I LOVE road trips, so I’m super excited about the 12 hours I’ll get to be in the car, sightseeing from my window. And I’m NOT being sarcastic.
Anyway, I’ll take lots of pictures and such. Back in a week! :)
